Vantage Point

Vantage Point was an interesting movie. Based around a half hour of time, we see a Presidential assassination attempt from several different viewpoints. Each time the film rewinds, we get another perspective and gain more information. It was extremely fast paced and never let me get bored. Dennis Quaid plays Thomas Barnes, a Secret Service agent back on the job after almost a year out of the game. He took a bullet for the President during another assassination attempt and took time out to heal and mentally recover. His first day back on the job and all hell breaks loose.I actually did like it quite a bit. It held my attention and I like watching each piece fall into place. The problem is this movie is not made to be a catalyst for debate on terrorism. You won’t walk away from this movie knowing why. No one starring in it, or involved in making it, cares to tell you why. You just get to watch how and what. So, take the movie for what it is worth. I think most folks will like it too.
